Larry Allen Judy

Larry Allen Judy, age 67, of rural Bridgeport, IL, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, in Haiti . He was born December 31, 1945, in Petty Township, the son of Joseph Lyman and Glenna Mae (Markley) Judy. He married Alice Littlejohn on July 15, 1964, and she survives. Larry worked for GTE-Verizon until his retirement. He attended Island Free Methodist Church his entire life. Larry served as President of the Friends of Haiti and was a member of the Gideons. Preceding Larry in death were his parents, three sisters, and five brothers. Survivors include his wife, Alice, of Bridgeport, IL; three sons Scott Judy of Sumner, IL, Bryan (Cindy) Judy of New Goshen, IN, and Tracy (Tammy) Judy of Bridgeport, IL; one brother, Jack Judy of Newton, IL; one sister Eloise Akers of Lawrenceville, IL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Island Free Methodist Church. (Take IL Rt. 50 to the Sumner caution light. Turn north on 220E. Go to 1500N, turn and head east. Drive approximately 1-1/2 miles and the church is on the right) Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
