Larry Robert Davis

Larry Robert Davis, age 84, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 22, 1940 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Guy Robert and Olive Prout Davis. He married Linda K. Gregory on June 21, 1959 at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2021.

Larry was the owner/operator of Davis Tire and Tractor Sales.  He was a member of the Bridgeport Methodist Church in Bridgeport and the Bridgeport Methodist Men.  He enjoyed collecting tractors, Coke memorabilia, enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, camping, and attending grandchildren’s sporting events.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Donald D. Davis; one sister, Elizabeth Clark.

Survivors include six children, Greg and Janet Davis of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Sandra and Henry Kelly of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Glenda Davis of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Scott and Angie Davis of Bridgeport, Illinois, Cindy and Terry Greentree of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Cheri and Kelly Spahn of Bridgeport, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren, Ashli and Ryan Wesley, Ryan Davis, Staci and Josh Millman, Matthew and Melissa Potts, Kyle Davis, Kara and Cole Gosnell, Ashley and Andrew Morris, Tyler Young, Tayler and Kendall Young, Brandon and Delaney Blackwell, Taylor and Jon Dierkes, Riley Greentree, Nathan Blackwell and Dalton Spahn; and sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Davis (Linda) of Bridgeport.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 11 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Bridgeport Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
