Kathryn Mayfield

Kathryn "Katie" Mayfield, 77, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Tuesday November 4, 2008 at the United Methodist Village North Campus.She was born June 27, 1931 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Wilbur and Lora (Gillard) Vaughn. On December 27, 1947 she married Ivan "Doc" Mayfield. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2002.Katie was a homemaker and also worked at Mayfield Appliance. She was a member of the Lawrence County Country Club where she was President of the Ladies Golf Assn. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, IL.She is survived by 2 daughters: Stephanie "Stevie" Miller of Indianapolis, IN, Denise "Dennie" Heidbreder of Lawrenceville, IL, a sister: Amelia Irwin of Florida, and 4 grandchildren. 2 brothers and a sister are deceased.The funeral will be Saturday at 12:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is also Saturday from 10:30am until the service hour of 12:00pm.Memorial donations may be given to the donor's choice.
