Kathleen Montgomery

V. Kathleen Montgomery, age 88, of Worthington, IN (formerly of Lawrenceville, IL) passed away , Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at her residence. She was born August 12, 1924, in Knox County, Indiana. She married Sherman Montgomery on February 6, 1945, and he died May 22, 2010. Kathleen was a homemaker. She also worked as a cook at the county jail when her husband, Sherman, was the sheriff. Kathleen was a member of the First Christian Church in Lawrenceville. Other memberships include the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary. Both Kathleen and Sherman volunteered at the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens and Meals-On-Wheels. Preceding Kathleen were her parents, her husband Sherman, and a son Robert S. Montgomery. Survivors include two grandchildren, Blake Montgomery and Amanda (Lance) Davidson, all of Worthington, IN. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. (IL time) Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.
