Kathleen Miller

Kathleen Miller, 95, of Portage, Indiana passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was born March 4, 1922, the daughter of John and Leila (Lockman) Lockhart. She married Alfred Miller and he preceded her in death. Kathleen was a longtime member of Real Life Community Church and weekly member of TOPS #1257. She was also a well-known babysitter. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Alfred Miller; son, Randy Miller; daughter, Jan Miller; two brothers, Robert Lockhart and James Lockhart; and four sisters, Imogene Hensley, Evelyn Pargin, Reba Shidler, and Vera Kirkwood. Survivors include her three children, Kay Burris and husband, Butch, of Warrenton, Missouri, Kathy Wilson and husband, Bruce, of Portage, Indiana, and Philip Miller and wife, Pam, of LaPorte, Indiana; three sisters, Pauline ‘Peg' Marie Kirkwood of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Norma June Elliott and husband, Charles, of Alton, Illinois, and Mary Ann Mickler and husband, Dan, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery.
