Kathleen Mazur Breland

Kathleen Mazur Breland, age 65, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at her home.  She was born on October 9, 1959 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of James Joseph Mazur and G. Edna Talbot Mazur.

Kathleen loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors.  She loved the beach and spending time in Florida. In high school, she played volleyball, basketball, and track.  She was very accomplished in track and placed fourth in hurdles in the state of South Carolina.  Kathleen’s greatest passion was her family and grandchildren.

Preceding Kathleen in death were her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Catherine (Michael) Kugelmann of Summerville, South Carolina and Alison (John Kramer) Breland of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; one brother, James Joseph Mazur II of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Vivian Buell of Ravenel, South Carolina and Jeannette Mazur of Walterboro, South Carolina; and five grandchildren: Logan, Madison, Autumn, Maxine, and Henry.

There will be no formal services.
