Karen Diane (Shaw) Shields, age 55, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Thursday, June 03, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on November 22, 1965 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Donald Leon and Wilberta (Griffin) Shaw.
Karen worked at Vincennes University. Her hobbies included traveling and going to the beach. She enjoyed many years with her faithful companion, her dog, Ernesto.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include one sister, Chris Shaw-Fry; one brother, Gary Shaw; one niece, Andrea Youngs and husband, Tom; two nephews, Tyler Shaw and Tory Shaw; and best friend, Scott Shields.
There will be no formal services conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
