Karen Lynn Pierson

Karen Lynn Pierson, age 82, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Marion VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.  She was born on October 27, 1942 in Chicago Heights, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph Jack Becker and Lucille (VanCleve) Becker.  She married William “Bill” Pierson on July 6, 1963, and he preceded her in death.

Karen was a homemaker and served in the U.S. Navy.  Karen and her husband, Bill, also operated a self-storage business.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, shopping, and gardening.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed the outdoors.

Preceding Karen in death were her parents and husband.

Survivors include: children, Hope (Jeff) Jurgens of Benton, Illinois, Debra (Ken) Bogner of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, David (Bobbi) Pierson of Lawrenceville, and Vicki (John) Stewart of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Althea (Richard) Kubicki of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
