Karen S. Cummins, age 84, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on May 08, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Tolice M. ‘Jack’ and Hazel Claudeen (Newton) Armstrong. She married Willard Cummins on December 07, 1956, and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2016.
Karen was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress, as well as an avid reader. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and an infant brother.
Survivors include three children, Bruce Cummins and wife, Donna, Brenda Williams and husband, Dennis, and Stacy Fry and husband, Anthony all of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Private services were conducted. Burial was in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
