Geneva K. Osborn, 91, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Sunday July 05, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born October 3, 1923 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Lee Franklin and Kathern (Xanders) Mitchell. She was married to Edgar LaVern Osborn. He preceded her in death. Geneva was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked as "Rosie the Riveter", which was the mine factory located at Bridgeport, IL. She also spent many years working at Sperry's in Bridgeport. She was a member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Eastern Star, and the White Shrine. She was also a member of the Lawrenceville Rod & Gun Club and was active in the Bridgeport Senior Citizens. Surviving are two sons: Lawrence "Larry" Osborn and his wife Sandy of Lawrenceville, IL, Edgar LaVern Osborn Jr. and his wife Sarah of Milton, FL; a son-in-law, Joe Joles of Lawrenceville, IL; seven grandchildren: Michelle Keshler, Edgar Osborn III, Candace Joles, Cindy Hawkins, Michael Osborn, Jason Joles, Lisa Osborn; nine great-grandchildren: Justin Keshler, Ryan Keshler, Shelby Hawkins, Alicia Keshler, Austin Hawkins, Corrine Osborn, Harley Ryan, Aaron Joles, Katie Joles; and three great-great-grandchildren: Aaron Keshler, Ayden Osborn, and Lexi Potts. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Joles;, a brother; Donald Mitchell, and a sister, Christina Midgett. Geneva's wishes were to be cremated. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday July 8, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:00pm at her home at 907 Arlington Avenue in Bridgeport, IL to celebrate her life. Memorial donations may be given to the Bridgeport Senior Citizens.
