Justin Brown, age 43, Lawrenceville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026 at his home surrounded by family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 9, 1983, to Kevin and Jo Dale (Hensley) Brown, Justin was a self-made man, working hard at whatever he did, from working at Larry Bobe’s Pizza during his teenage years, to his time at Toyota Boshuku to coaching Little League in the summer to acquiring and renovating properties throughout the community. He always put others before himself and fought his battle with everything he had, leaving a lasting impression on everyone that knew him.
On Oct. 25, 2014, he married Misty Lampe, who survives. Also surviving are his parents, Kevin and Jo Dale Brown, his children, Hailey Ralph, Jase Brown and Harper Brown, his twin brother, Jordan (Niki) Brown, brothers Joshua (Marci) Brown and Jeremy Brown, grandmother Shirley Hensley, mother-in-law, nieces and nephews Treyton, Graysen and Maryn Brown, Karsyn and Couper Brown, Addison Miller and Alexis Brown,
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Eileen Brown and Harvey Hensley, great-grandmother Violet Clark, and uncle Steven Hensley.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at Central Christian Church at 303 Buchanan Drive in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. CST on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Central Christian Church, with Rev. Phil Fish officiating. Burial will follow at May Chapel Cemetery in rural Lawrenceville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brown children’s college fund.
Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home of Lawrenceville, Illinois, is in charge of services.
