Judith P. Vollmer

Judith P. Vollmer, age 81, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on March 09, 1943 in Aberdeen County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert Price and Virginia (Westervelt) Price Cox. She married Ronald Rimovsky, and together they had two children. She then married Richard Vollmer, and he preceded her in death.

Judith was a music teacher in the public school system, as well as an at home piano teacher. She was also a secretary at both the University of Memphis and University of Illinois. She was a member of the New Beginnings Lutheran Church in Mahomet, Illinois. She enjoyed reading and crocheting afghans.

Preceding her in death were her parents and second husband.

Survivors include two children Tony Rimovsky and wife, Gretchen of South Bend, Indiana and Ann Atkins and husband, David of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Richard Price and wife, Kelly of Austin, Texas; and four grandchildren, Rachel Rimovsky, Gabriel Rimovsky, Owen Atkins, and Amelia Atkins.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville, Illinois at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
