Joyce L. Rigg

Joyce L. Rigg, age 83, of Bridgeport, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Aperion Care.  She was born May 29, 1939 in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Jerry and Edna Dunlap Belcher. She married Laurie Jerry Rigg on May 31, 1958, and he preceded her in death December 10, 2020.

Joyce worked at Victor Dana in Robinson for many years before moving with her husband and son to Florida. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Zolfo Springs in Florida.  Her hobbies included reading, crafts, and spending time with her friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jerry; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Jerri Parker and husband, Brett of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois and Jeff Rigg of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one grandson, Shan Parker; and two sisters, Melody Ramsey of Robinson, Illinois and Sandee Mitchell of Attica, Illinois.

There will be no formal services conducted.  The Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral is in charge of Joyce’s services.
