Jorge 'Rod' Rodney Weger

Jorge Rodney ‘Rod' Weger, 68, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on August 31, 1950 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Ivan R. and Rochelle (Baker) Weger. He married Anne Marie Malloy on June 28, 1997 and she survives. Rod was an expeditor and retired from Zachary Construction in Mt. Carmel. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Jerry Weger. Survivors include his wife, Anne Marie; two sons, Nicholas and Noah both of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Jon A. Weger and wife, Andrea, of Santa Ana, California; one sister, Jane Bennie and husband, Jim, of Cumming, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Charlotte Weger of Lawrenceville, Illinois; Uncle Chuck Weger of Lawrenceville, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rod's memory may be made to the Lawrence County Historical Society.
