Jon K. Foster

Jon K. Foster, age 72, of rural Sumner, Illinois, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. He was born December 11, 1940, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Leroy and Florence (Mattoon) Foster. He married Sue Akin on June 29, 1963. Jon worked for Anheuser-Busch in Columbus, Ohio for 31 years. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. Jon was an avid hunter and a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Jon was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force. Jon was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Sue of rural Sumner; two sons Shawn Foster (Katie) of Blacklick, Ohio and Brett Foster (Krista) of Delaware, Ohio and one sister Susan Foster of Sumner. A memorial service will be held at 5 PM Saturday at Beulah United Methodist Church, Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church - Missions Program or to the Faith Home in Honduras.
