Johnny W. Hackworth

Johnny W. Hackworth, age 68, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was born on May 03, 1954 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, the son of Johnny and Bessie (Bradford) Hackworth. He married Patricia Snively on February 11, 1985, and she survives.

Johnny was a heavy equipment operator. He worked in housekeeping at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Ronnie Hackworth; and one son, Shawn Hackworth.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three children, Gregory Hackworth of Bushnell, Florida, Terry Hackworth of Winter Haven, Florida, and Misty Lewsader and husband, Christopher of Lawrenceville, Illinois; five siblings, Judy Bayes of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Helen Slone and husband, Wornald of Auxier, Kentucky, Degarmo Hackworth and wife, Debbie of David, Kentucky, Debbie Rowe and husband, Paul of Auxier, Kentucky, and James Hackworth of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Hackworth and Alex Lewsader.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
