John D. Wilcox

Biography John D. Wilcox, 46, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Saturday December 22, 2012 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, IL. He was born January 2, 1966 in Champaign, IL the son of the late Jerold J. Wilcox, and Billie Jean (Lancaster) Long of Dunnellon, FL. John had worked as a Semi-Truck Long Haul Driver. He had served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Methodist Church. Along with his mother, John is survived by two step-daughters: Ashley Young of Colorado Springs, CO, Jade Glover of Indiana, a brother: Larry L. Wilcox of Bridgeport, IL, a brother: Jerold Gene Wilcox who preceded John in death, a sister: Candace Briner of Robinson, IL, two brothers: Jay Wilcox of Lawrenceville, IL, Travis Wilcox of Palestine, IL, two sisters: Emily Zanetis of Mt. Carmel, IL, Shelly Parrott of Lawrenceville, IL, and six grandchildren. Graveside services with burial of cremains will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Waggoner Cemetery.
