John R. Vaughn, age 64, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1955 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of John William and Margie (Carroll) Vaughn.
John was an LHS graduate. He owned and operated Vaughn Overhead Door for 25 plus years. His memberships included the Moose and the Elks. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family while fishing, being on the lake, hunting, and cooking.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Margaret Ellison.
Survivors include one son, Justin Vaughn of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one daughter, Jessica Martin and husband, David, of Springville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Ethan Vaughn, Hudson Martin, and Lucy Martin; nephew, Brian Stafford; and special friend, Lori Stultz.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
