John A. Mitchell

John A. Mitchell age 84 of Paducah, Ky. Died May 04, 2010 in Paducah, Ky. He was born July 03, 1925 in Olney, Illinois to Kenneth and Gladys Gillen Mitchell.He married Betty June Perrott on Jan. 15, 1965 and she survives. Also surviving are one son Mike Driskell and wife Sharon of ElPaso,Il and one daughter Barbara Jenkinson and her husband Paul of Azle,Tx. A sister Nadine Livesay of Moore, OK and five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive.John worked for 47 years as a foreman with the Florsheim Shoe Company. He was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Olney, IL. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion Posts in Olney, IL.Funeral services will be Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney,IL. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion. Memorial donations may be made to the VFW or American Legion Post in Olney,IL. or the Cancer Society.
