John Laslie

John Laslie, 62, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Saturday April 9, 2016 at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, IL. He was born August 30, 1953 in Lawrenceville, IL the son of James O. and Nancy (Brown) Laslie. On February 12, 1972, he married Jennifer Brochin. She survives. John worked for the City of Lawrenceville on the Water Department and the Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his father: James O. Laslie, sister: Lisa Mae Laslie, son: Jonathon J. Laslie, grandson: Clifton "Blake" Pinkstaff, and nephew Bobby W. Lyden. Surviving are his mother: Nancy E. Laslie of Vincennes, IN, wife: Jennifer L. Laslie of Lawrenceville, IL, daughter: Melisa Laslie of Lawrenceville, IL, daughter-in-law: Billie Alexander (Laslie) of Lawrenceville, IL, five grandchildren: Zoey Laslie, Destanie Laslie, Thomas Reeder (Laslie), Mae Laslie, and Alydia Laslie all of Lawrenceville, IL, two brothers: Bruce W. Laslie and his wife Janice of Lawrenceville, IL, James C. Laslie and his wife Rita of Lawrenceville, IL, three sisters: Sherry Hamilton and her husband Warren of Lawrenceville, IL Deborah Brough and her husband Mike of Vincennes, IN, Pat Volkman and her husband Vic of St. Francisville, IL, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. John's wishes were to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time.
