John S Lanenga

John S. Lanenga, age 61, of Lawrenceville, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Haven of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Illinois.  He was born September 29, 1963 at Chicago Heights, Illinois, the son of Jacob Lanenga and Pearl L. Jensen.

John was a machine operator at American Lock Co.  He also worked at Lewis Bakery and Rucker’s Wholesale.  John loved bowling, crossword puzzles, watching sports, grilling out with his family, and playing with his grandkids.

Preceding John in death were his parents and his siblings LaVern Lanenga and Cheryl Lanenga.

Survivors include his children J.C. (Shawnee) Lanenga of Lawrenceville and Cortney Crawford of Lawrenceville and three grandchildren Gracie Lanenga, Jonathan Lanenga, and Zechariah Crawford.

No formal services will be conducted.  John’s wishes were to be cremated.  Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
