John Richard Foss

John Richard Foss, age 54 of Vincennes, IN passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 17, 1956 in Lawrence County, IL the son of George Wilson and Mary Katherine (Young) Foss. He married Dana Cresgy May 5, 1990 and she survives. John was a self-employed master carpenter and a member of First Christian Church, Lawrenceville, IL. Survivors include his wife Dana Foss of Vincennes, IN; his mother Mary Katherine Foss of Lawrenceville, IL; one son Brian Foss of Vincennes, IN; one daughter Elizabeth Davison and husband Patrick of Vincennes, IN; one granddaughter Cathlene Warren and two nephews Todd Foss and Barrett Foss. John was preceded in death by his father and one brother Thomas Foss. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. (Illinois time) Thursday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. (Illinois time) Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Vincennes Athletic Association with envelopes available through the funeral home.
