John A. Bostic

John A Bostic, age 76, of Lawrenceville passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 7, 1934 in Iola, IL the son of John A. and Grace (Jacobs) Bostic. He married Ruth Ann DeLong and she passed away in December of 2000. John was an Army veteran. He worked at Hamilton Glass in Vincennes and had worked in the oil fields for several years. John was a member of the Oaktown Gun Club and the Vincennes Gun Club. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth Ann, one brother and one sister. Survivors include one daughter Pamela Bostic of Plainfield, IN. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 PM (Central Time) at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Funeral services will begin at 6 PM (Central Time) Saturday at the funeral home. A graveside committal with military honors will be 1 PM (Central Time) Sunday at Marshall Ferry Cemetery in Rising Son, IL.
