Joan G. Rasico

Joan G. Rasico, age 80, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born July 3, 1935, in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald E. and Mary (Earnest) Goff. She married Robert Rasico on August 13, 1955, and he passed away February 20, 2001. Joan owned and operated a home day care for many years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Robinson, Illinois. Preceding Joan in death were her parents; her husband Robert; one brother, Jackie Goff; one sister, Verna Hetherington; and one granddaughter, Ashley Clark. Survivors include two sons, Robert Joseph Rasico, Jr. and his wife Kim of Douglass, Kansas and Douglas Lee Rasico and his wife Karen of Vincennes, Indiana; one daughter, Mary K. Clark and her husband Steve of Flat Rock, Illinois; two brothers, Harley Goff and his wife Radelle of Flat Rock, Illinois and Sherman Goff and his wife Katie of Lawrenceville, Illinois.; ten grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM (CST) Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (CST) at the funeral home Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
