Jill J. Wheeler

Jill J. Wheeler, 84, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the United Methodist Village-Main Campus in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born August 7, 1933 in England, the daughter of William and Doris Dymond. She married Jerry A. Wheeler in 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1996. Jill worked at the First National Bank of Sumner for 30 plus years. She was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church. She was very fond of her animals and was an avid reader. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jerry; one brother, Ray Dymond; and one sister, Pam Piff. Survivors include two sons, Sean Wheeler and wife, Linda, of Marshall, Illinois and Jerry Wheeler and wife, Sherri, of Evansville, Indiana; one brother, Colin Dymond of Cheltenham, England; three grandchildren, Kyann Tate, Jared Wheeler, and Nicole Wheeler; and three great-grandchildren, Kailey Tate, Briana Tate, and Bentley Tate. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cresthaven Memorial Park.
