Jerry Wells

Jerry Wayne Wells, 79, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016. He was born April 13, 1937 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Earl and Essie (Freeman) Wells. Jerry was the owner and operator of Jerry Wells Tree Service and Jerry Wells Stump Removal for 59 years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Elks, and the Moose. Preceding Jerry in death were his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include his companion, Ramona Noblit of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three daughters, Margie (Doug) Anson and Sherry Wells both of Vincennes, Indiana, and Kimberly (Drew) Thompson of Monroe City, Indiana; three brothers, Dick Wells of Chauncey, Illinois, Bub Wells of Bridgeport, Illinois, and Jim Wells from Lawrenceville, Illinois; two sisters, Maxine Green of Chauncey, Illinois and Nora Folck of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, as well as one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild on the way. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the donor's choice.
