Jeffery Wayne Carter, 60, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was born May 9, 1957 in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of John H. and Pauline L. (Catt) Carter.
Jeffery Wayne worked at Kralis Brothers in Olney; as well as Perdue Farms for 25 years. He enjoyed attending the Beulah United Methodist Church, volunteer work at the church, and visiting with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one daughter, Penny S. Carter.
Survivors include one son, Harold W. Carter of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two brothers, John H. ‘Butch' Carter of Lexington, Kentucky and Charles L. ‘Bud' Carter of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and two sisters, Diane K. White of Channahon, Illinois and Vonda Bledsoe of McHenry, Illinois.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM CST at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery.
