Jeanie Lee (Moore) Smith

Jeanie Lee (Moore) Smith, age 90, of Bridgeport, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on June 01, 1934 in Sumner, Illinois, the daughter of Finley and Madeline (Level) Moore. She married Robert C. Smith on December 20, 1952, and he preceded her in death on October 02, 2014.

Jeanie worked for Dr. Po as a medical clerk and for Weber Clinic in the pharmacy. She owned and operated the Tiki Beauty Salon in Bridgeport for several years. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Church, where she attended bible study and prayer group, and helped with Bible School. Her hobbies included crocheting, embroidering, and cooking.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one son, Robert Smith; one brother, Phillip Moore; and one sister, Kay Przykopanski.

Survivors include one daughter, Jana Price of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two grandchildren, Brandon Smith and Bobbi Ginder and husband, Kurt; four loving great-grandchildren, Silas Smith, Breanne Smith, Amelia Ginder, and Dane Ginder; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be conducted. The Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
