Jean Ann Fontanyi

Jean Ann Fontanyi, age 40, of Sumner, IL passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born December 29, 1970 in Illinois the daughter of Margaret Susan (White) Hamlin. She married Jim Fontanyi October 22, 1993 and he survives.Jean was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and was a member of the Beulah Chime Choir. She was employed at Wal-Mart in Lawrenceville where she worked as an Office Associate for 20+ years. Jean was preceded in death by her mother and one brother David Hamlin, Jr.Survivors include her husband Jim of Sumner; one son Dyer who lives at home; nieces and nephews Christina Christy, Christopher Fontanyi, Isaac Fontanyi, Sonia Adamson and Steven Adamson.Jean was Jims Sweet Pea, but she touched so many lives.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Beulah United Methodist Church, south of Sumner.Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.Burial will be in Vincennes Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Riley Childrens Hospital or to Bridgeport Boy Scout Troop #251.
