Jean Crews

Jean Crews, 78, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Saturday November 14, 2009 at her residence.She was born November 5, 1931 in Bridgeport, IL the daughter of Everett and Pauline (Lawson) Johnson. On July 15, 1950 she married Walter "Bud" Crews. he preceded her in death on April 16, 2008.Jean worked in retail for many years. She worked at the Western Auto Store, Hazels Clothing Store, and the Hallmark House all in Lawrenceville. She also cooked at Lawrenceville High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. She was also a member of BETA Sigma Phi.She is survived by a son: Robert and Karen Crews of Lawrenceville, IL, a daughter: Judy and Paul Swing Jr. of Lawrenceville, IL, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. An infant daughter: Cindy and 2 brothers are deceased.The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
