Jason Dayne Whitson

Jason Dayne Whitson, age 38, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born March 25, 1974, in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Charles and Linda (Shaw) Whitson. Jason worked as a welder through Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 136. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Jason enjoyed many activities. He enjoyed cooking, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with Becky by taking long walks and appreciating what nature had to offer of flowers, trees, and summer nights looking at the moon and stars. Jason was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy L. Whitson. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Linda Whitson of Lawrenceville, a companion Becky "Lynn" Carie of Lawrenceville, one brother Todd Whitson of Cloudland, GA, and one nephew Brandon Shoulders of Evansville, IN. Friends may gather from 1 to 3 PM Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Burial will follow at Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
