Janice E. Dickerson

Janice E. Dickerson, 82, of rural Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at United Methodist Village-North Campus. She was born November 19, 1931, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Mildred (Smith) Orey. She married John F. Dickerson on October 1, 1949, and he died October 4, 2005. Janice was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Preceding Janice in death were her parents, her husband John, and one son John Robert. Survivors include three sons, Steve (Debbie) Dickerson of Wentzville, MO, Jim (Denise) Dickerson of rural Lawrenceville, IL, and Mark (Debbie) Dickerson of Vincennes, IN; two daughters Julie Jones of Oswego, IL and Debbie (Bill) Siddens of Lawrenceville, IL; one sister Mary Ann Fortner of Vincennes, IN; 12 grandchildren, one step-grandson, and 18 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to Lawrence County Humane Society.
