Janette Adkison

Janette Adksion, 68, of Indianapolis, IN (formerly of Sumner) passed away Friday June 5, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.She was born May 26, 1941 in Sumner, IL the daughter of Vernice H. and Stella Mae (Thomas) Umfleet. On May 28, 1957 she married Jerald Adkison. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2005.She was a nurse's aide and a truck driver. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church-Lakeview Temple in Indianapolis.She is survived by a son: Jim Adkison of Accident, MD, a daughter: Carol Polley of Indianapolis, IN, 5 grandchildren: Rebekah Polley, Rachel Polley, Jessica Adkison, Chris Adkison, and Jason Adkison.The funeral will be Monday at 1:30pm at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sumner Cemetery. Visitation is also Monday from 12:30 until the service hour of 1:30pm.Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association.
