Jamie A. Griffin

Jamie A. Griffin, age 48, of Oblong, Illinois passed away on Friday, July 02, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on July 15, 1972 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of James Griffin and M. Earlene (Pinkstaff) Snodgrass.

Jamie worked at a nursing home as a cook and Lawrence Crawford CILA. She had attended the Pinkstaff United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her significant other, Robert Schalasky of Oblong, Illinois; two children, Noah Kelly and Adrienne Stevens of Oblong, Illinois; two sisters, Shelly Garrard and husband, Tim of Allendale, Illinois and Christina Mahin and husband, Carl Jenkins of Live Oak, Florida; and two grandchildren, Emily Ann Griffin and Zeke Stevens.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 07, 2021 at 2:00 PM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pollard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Oblong Children’s Christian Home or the Crawford County Humane Society.
