James A. Pearson

James A. Pearson, age 76, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, December 04, 2022 at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1946 in Charlestown, Indiana, the son of Floyd and Margaret Rose (Miller) Pearson. He married Marsha (Nichols) Teague in 2004, and she survives.

James was an art instructor at Vincennes University from 1981, until his retirement in 2006. He was active in the Old Town Players Theatre, and his favorite play was ‘On Golden Pond’. He was a member of the Wabash River Boating Club.

Preceding him in death were his parents, six brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha; two step-children, Haven Elliott and husband, Kevin of Henderson, Kentucky and Kyle Neville and husband, Christopher of Carbondale, Illinois; one sister, Christine Chamblee of Sand Hill, Alabama; and five grandchildren, Isaac, Eva, Samuel, Charlie, and James.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, December 09, 2022 at 1:00 PM CST at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
