James V. Hoffman

James V. Hoffman, age 64, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on April 01, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Norman H. and Ruth E. (Peel) Hoffman. He married Teresa Kemper on May 28, 1977, and she survives.

James worked for Jones and Sons, and was a member of the Central Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, while playing cards, board games, and video games. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and mushroom hunting, but his passion was golfing.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa; two children, Jami Kyffin and husband, Brian of Livingston, Tennessee and Joni Kleinschmidt and husband, Andrew of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; one sister, Karen Farrar of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one nephew, Manuel Farrar of Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Isabella, Angelina, Chandler, and Chase.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
