James J. Goodrich

James J. Goodrich, age 72, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on June 1, 1944 at 14th and Charles Street in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the youngest of six children. His parents were Loren and Zora M. (Allen) Goodrich. James was a retired tool and die maker where he worked for Eureka-Williams for 28 years. He was a member of the First Church of God in Lawrenceville and the International Association of Machinists. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Samuel Goodrich; one sister, Martha Kendall; and one grandson, Micheal Phillips, who was killed in Iraq in 2008. Survivors include his two sons, Aaron Goodrich and wife, Ashley, of Evansville, Indiana and Jason Goodrich-Pulido and husband, Arnold Kelber, of Daly City, California; three daughters; Angelia Phillips and husband, Steven, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Rhonda Jaco of Bloomington, Illinois, and Nicole Rocket and husband, Greg, of Bloomington, Indiana; two brothers, Frank Goodrich of Porter, Texas, William Goodrich of Wheatland, Indiana; one sister, Mary Ruth Sams of Forsyth, Illinois, 17 grandchildren, Kristi, Cory, Carol, Cacy, Chris, Autumn, Madison, James, Braelyn, Matilda, David, Barbara, Anthony, Ashley, Michael and Rylie; and four great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ethan, Alex, Elaina, Lily, and Luke. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 4 at 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in James' memory may be made to the donor's choice. He left behind many friends and co-workers and will miss them all. Jim's last words were "Good Luck." Farewell and God speed to my friends and family.
