Jack N. Horton

Biography Jack N. Horton, age 82, of Lawrenceville passed away July 27, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born February 13, 1929 in Lawrenceville, the son of William W. and Bernice F. (Farr) Horton. Jack worked as a Western and Southern Life Insurance Agent and ran a dry cleaning business. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the National Guard. He was also a member of the Shriners, Moose Club, NRA, and a life member of the Lawrenceville Masonic Lodge. Jack was preceded in death by one brother William R. Horton. Survivors include one son Chuck (Marge) Horton of Newton, IL; two daughters Connie Jo (Ray) Dale and Jacque Church all of Lawrenceville; seven grandchildren Jennifer Barker, Emily Dunbar, Belinda Lawson, Carolyn Schniepp, Douglas Horton, Alex Church and Ashley Meadows; eight great-grandchildren; and two nephews Owen Horton and Gavin Horton. The family would like to send a special thank you to Amanda "Mindy" for your care and concern. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 7:45 PM.
