Jack Carlton Cook, 81, Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. Born July 30, 1931 in Lawrenceville, IL, he was the son of Howard and Dorothy (French) Cook. He graduated from Lawrenceville High School and enjoyed attending many annual reunions. He served in the military.
Jack worked as a draftsman and manager of the family-owned Lawrenceville Lumber Company. He was a member of the Elks, VFW, American Legion, Rotary Club and Moose. He enjoyed golf, playing cards, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He will be remembered for his hearty laughter and generosity.
Surviving are his daughter, Sally Anne Cook, of Peoria, Arizona and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nancy Cook Grieve and Sarah Claire Cook.
A memorial service will be held at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL on, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 am CST.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
