Inez Elaine Kendall

Inez Elaine Kendall, age 90, of Newburgh, IN (formerly of Lawrenceville, IL) passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN after a brief illness with complications. She was born May 14, 1922 in Otsego, MI, the daughter of Benjamin Albert and Sara (Bodine) Richardson. She married James Ernest Kendall on January 24, 1943 and he passed away November 30, 2004. Inez worked at Studley's Rexall Drug Store in Lawrenceville as a bookkeeper/accountant. She and her husband were former residents of the Ambraw Sportsman's Club. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Elks, VFW, American Legion, and BPWA. Inez enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to music and her lake. She was an active supporter of several charities. Her parents, her husband, one brother and three sisters preceded Inez in death. Survivors include a son Benjamin C. Kendall and wife Lyn of Newburgh, IN, three grandchildren Brennan Kessner of Bethesda, MD, Brit Van Laeken and Christopher Kendall both of Evansville, IN, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Thursday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
