Inez P. Conour, 104, of Falkville, AL (formerly of Sumner) passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Falkville Healthcare Center. She was born May 13, 1905, in Lukin Township, Illinois, to David and Ida Inyart Hill. She married Carroll (Tad) Conour and he preceded her in death.Inez was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church. She and her husband owned and operated the Conour Service Station, as well as the OK Bakery in Sumner for many years. She was a lifelong resident of Sumner until 2001, when she moved to Alabama to be near her son Charles and his family. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carroll (Tad) Conour, and siblings Clarence Hill, Noble Hill, Cory Hill, Marie Lukens, and Elva Madden. Survivors include one son Charles and his wife Glenn; granddaughters Carol (Mike) Tyler and Cheryl (Mark) Hancock; and grandsons Michael (Marsha) Groves and Charles (Michael) Conour, Jr., eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be Saturday,December 19, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Sivert-Macey Funeral Home in Sumner. Inezâs grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery.Memorials may be made to a local Hospice organization of the donorâs choice.
