Hester Walls

Hester L. Walls, 85, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born January 15, 1931 in Lawrence County, Illinois to William Daniel and Florence (Marks) Jackman. On March 6, 1948 she married Clyde E. Walls. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1989. Hester was a homemaker. She also worked for Roadmaster in Olney, Illinois, as well as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She was a member of the Crane Village Church in Crane, Indiana. She is survived by three sons: David Walls and his wife Ann of Sumner, Illinois; Edward Walls and his wife Frances of Newton, Kansas; Gerald Walls and his wife Debra of Sumner, Illinois; three daughters: Brenda Fritchie and her husband Steve of Bridgeport, Illinois, Ramona Richards and her husband Kelly of Bridgeport, Illinois, and Patricia Harvey and her husband Dennis of Lawrenceville, Illinois; a brother: Harold Jackman of Sumner, Illinois; a sister: Dorothy Askren of Lawrenceville, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband; she is preceded in death by a daughter, Lorenea Earnst; a sister, Thelma Kiser; a grandson, Shawn Ritcheson; and great-grandson, Dalton Walls. The funeral will be Friday June 3, 2016 at 10:00AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00AM until the service hour of 10:00AM. Burial will be at the Billett Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens.
