Hazel M. Holmes, 75, of Lawrenceville, IL passed way Saturday at the United Methodist Village North Campus.She was born December 21, 1933 the daughter of William Edgar and Mary T. (Young) Holmes.She was a homemaker. She attended the Zion United Methodist Church.She is survived by a son: Duane Ralston of Vincennes, IN, 4 daughters: Donna Cessna of Lawrenceville, IL, Connie Ralston of Lawrenceville, IL, Robin Holmes of St. Francisville, IL, Anna Marie Holmes of Urbana, IL, 4 brothers: Edgar "Jr." Holmes of Sumner, IL, Donald Holmes of St. Francisville, IL, Garold Holmes of Lawrenceville, IL, Harold Holmes of Lawrenceville, IL, 3 sisters: Lula Belle Thompson of Lawrenceville, IL, Ana June Ray of Bridgeport, IL, Daisey Mae Hodges of Lawrenceville, IL, several grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. A son, and five brothers are deceased.The funeral will be Tuesday at1:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery. Visitation is also Tuesday from 11:00 to the service hour of 1:00pm.
