Hazel H. Harris

Hazel H. Harris, age 89 of Tennessee (formerly of Lawrenceville for over 50 years), passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Signature Nursing Home in Cleveland, TN.  She was born November 3, 1920 to John and Rosetta Walker in Wharncliffe, WV.  She married Roy Harris  May 2, 1945 and he passed away in 2001.  She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy, two brothers Kermit Walker and Eldon Walker both of West Virginia; two sisters Minnie Noe and Virginia Cline both of West Virginia. Survivors include two daughters Norma (Bill) Pinkstaff of Lawrenceville and Roberta (Gene) Beck of Cleveland, TN; six grandchildren, Kathy Satterfield of Lawrenceville, Karen Havill of St. Francisville, Terri Axton of New Harmony, IN, Jim Gerst of Virginia Beach,VA, Mark Gerst of Newburgh, IN, and Lori Harris of Cleveland, TN; 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26th at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.Â
