Harlie D. Legg December 15, 1937 - July 26, 2013 Harlie D. Legg, age 75, of rural Sumner, Illinois passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born December 15, 1937, in Olney, Illinois the son of Leonard Legg and Jemima (Hardacre) Legg. He married Carole Jean (York)on January 21, 1956, and she died February 11,1978. He married his second wife, Sharon L. (Lewis) on February 21, 1979, and she died April 29, 2012. Harlie was a lifelong farmer. He was affiliated with New Hope Christian Church in Bridgeport. Preceding Harlie in death besides his first and second wives, were his parents, one son Tony D. Legg, and one infant brother Leonard Legg, Jr. Survivors include two sons Tracey Legg (Joni) of rural Lawrenceville and Terry Legg (Paula) of rural Sumner; one daughter Tina Miller of rural Sumner; one step-daughter Angela Garrison (Joey) of Round Rock, TX; two sisters Gloria Devonshire (Jerry) of Robinson and Beth Ann Legg of Tulsa, OK;11 grandchildren, Courtney Brian, Casey Tapp, Matthew Legg, Brandon Legg, Shaun Legg, Melisha Carie, Kayla Gill, Shannon Meek, C.J. Tussey, Hannah Holeman and Nicolas Garrison, as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 PM Tuesday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
