Guy Mahan

Guy Mahan, 81, of Western Springs, IL passed away April 4, 2008 in Ocala, FL. He was born January 13, 1927 in Lawrence County, IL, the son of Arthur and Frances (Porter) Mahan. He married Dorothy Jean Westfall in 1956.He was the Director of Education for Special Education in Leydon Township for 35 years. He was a member of the Christ Church in Oakbrook. He was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict as a Chaplain Assistant. He was also a member of the Illinois Teacher's Association. He received his BS degree from Charleston, IL, his MS degree from the University of Illinois and his PhD from Loyola University. Guy enjoyed collecting antiques, playing the piano and organ, as well as singing.He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean of Western Springs, IL
