Guy 'Bill' Higgins

Guy W. ‘Bill' Higgins, 70, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 2, 1946 in Crawford County to Samuel Allen and Gleda (Akers) Higgins. Guy was a pumper with Marathon and Rex Energy. He enjoyed hunting and camping. Preceding were his parents; his second wife, Wanda Hutchings Higgins; five brothers; and one sister. Survivors include his first wife, Patricia Bell; his third wife, Delores Outler Higgins; his sons, Chris (Kerri) Higgins of Bridgeport, Illinois, Billy Higgins and David Higgins both of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his daughters, Diane (Bill) Rogers of Lawrenceville, Illinois, April (Chris) Bassett of Vincennes, Indiana; and Regina Outler Rudd of Olney, Illinois; brother, Marlin (Jane) Higgins of Lawrenceville, Illinois; sisters, Mary Crouch of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Donna Stevens of Atlanta, Georgia; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday prior to the service from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
