George H. Brown, 87, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday April 16, 2008 at Lawrence Community Healthcare Center in Bridgeport. Born September 30, 1920 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Pete and Clara (Robinson) Brown. He was married to Mary Lamb. She precedes him in death.He was retired from the Witco Chemical Company. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Forthy & Eight in Vincennes. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII.Surviving are a daughter: Cherrie Caughran of Bridgeport, IL, 4 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.Friends may gather at the home of Mary Caughran at 1608 16th Street in Lawrenceville on 5 to 7PM on Friday.A Graveside Service will be conducted at a later date
