George E. Bach September 23, 1921 - February 3, 2012 George E. "Bud" Bach, 90, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Friday February 03, 2012 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. George was born September 23, 1921 in Lawrence County, Illinois the son of George W. and Ida Hanes Bach. June 16, 1957 he married Virginia Alice Satterfield Bach and she survives. George was a farmer and a rural mail carrier till retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church where he was active as an elder and teacher. He was World War II veteran. Along with his wife, he is survived by one son Matthew & wife Susan Bach of rural Lawrenceville, IL., one daughter Debra & husband Phillip Fish of rural Lawrenceville, IL. One stepson Phillip & wife Shirley Greene of Lawrenceville, IL. Two step daughters Joanne Greene of Kentland, IN., Louie & Charlie Ferguson of rural Flat Rock, IL. Three brothers survive: Melvin & wife Barbara Bach of Lakeview, Ohio, Richard & wife Wanda Bach of rural Lawrenceville, IL., Merle & wife Charlene Bach of rural Lawrenceville, IL. one grandchild, 11 step-grandchildren and 15 step-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Wanda and Maybelle and two grandsons. The funeral will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Church Building Fund.
