Genelle M. Ulrich

Genelle M. Ulrich, 93, of Sumner, Illinois passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois. She was born January 21, 1924 in Parkersburg, Illinois, the daughter of Loren and Tressie (Brown) Fritchley. She married Marion Ulrich on November 22, 1945 and he survives. Genelle was a homemaker; and sold Avon and Tupperware. She was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church and the Beulah United Women. She served on the election board, was a past president of the Eagles Lodge, and enjoyed cooking. Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Larry; two brothers, Gene and Carl; and one sister, Argle Roberts. Survivors include her husband, Marion; three sons, Robert Ulrich and wife, Nancy, of Sumner, Illinois, Lynn Ulrich and wife, Betsy, of Sumner, Illinois, and Mark Ulrich and wife, Barbara, of Del Norte, Colorado; one daughter, Glenda Allen and husband, Farrell, of Dundas, Illinois; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Genelle's memory may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
